Invest in a greener tomorrow with Spowdi’s sustainable irrigation system

Spowdi’s vision is to lead the transformation to a regenerative world, to invent high-quality products that promote ways to move and save water with renewables for a greener tomorrow. Our goal in the coming years as a green tech company is to actively invest to become a global, sustainable, and profitable company. Partner with Spowdi to become part of our journey and ignite an agricultural evolution powered by the sun.

Future-proofing food production

To future-proof food production, we need to produce enough food for the growing population while simultaneously lowering our impact on earth and its resources. At Spowdi, we believe that small-hold farmers can be the Impact Generators that make this possible.

However, generating large-scale impact requires collaboration and partnership. For small-hold farmers to become Impact Generators, they need Impact Enablers that can support them with the right tools. As a technology provider, Spowdi partner with both implementing organisations and financial institutions. Together we aim to transform 200 million small-hold farmers into profitable and climate resilient food producers.

Projects and ongoing activities

The Water Drop Initiative

The ‘Water Drop Initiative’ takes Smart Farming to women micro-entrepreneurs and small-hold farmers, enabling them to reduce dependencies on fossil energy and be economically independent. The first project of this initiative is being rolled out in India.

Spowdi, in collaboration with SEWA-backed Grassroot Trading Network for Women and support from SHL Medical, have initiated the ‘Train the Trainer Programme’. It provides education and training for SEWA grassroots members and enables them to become experts in ‘Spowdi Smart Farming’. Presently, the Water Drop Initiative is being implemented in five Indian states; Gujarat, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan.

Tested and validated by National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE), India

In April 2022, the Spowdi Mobile Pro MKII was tested by the National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE) in India. NISE is an autonomous specialized institute under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India. It is mandated for research and development, solar component testing and certification, capacity building, and development of solar products and applications. The NISE test report validates the Spowdi system’s technical claims of being the only solar driven, green energy system available in the market which has a capacity to irrigate one acre of land using just a small solar panel on 150 watts.
